The Woman My Husband Cheated With Says She Feels Used
“The other day, my cell phone rang and I didn’t recognize the number so I picked up. It was the other woman who had been cheating with my husband. The affair is over. And apparently the other woman is not very happy with this. She says that he invested in the relationship and listened to her and bought her gifts. She assumed that things would just continue to go on the same way indefinitely. So, she was shocked when I found out about the affair and my husband chose me over her and ended the affair. My husband told her that they weren’t going to have any additional contact with one another and I believe that she is very frustrated by this. She said my husband only used her for sex and that I should be aware what a jerk he is. I am torn about this. I obviously don’t think his behavior was admirable. No woman wants to feel used. At the same time, I’m glad he’s drawn the line with her. I don’t want her in our lives.”
My Cheating Spouse Wants To Go To A Therapist – Is It Even Worthwhile?“My husband recently admitted to an affair. He said that he is going to change his life dramatically and part of that is being honest and putting an immediate stop to any risky and destructive behavior. As we were talking about this behavior and he was telling me what he meant, it then slipped out that this was actually his second affair and not his first. I don’t know why, but this seems to make things so much worse for me. And I think the reason for that is that I’m worried that this is a character defect in my husband instead of it being a one time mistake. It makes me think that he is more likely to cheat again. He is begging me to not just make this assumption. He is asking me to commit to going to counseling with him for a few months before I make a decision about our marriage. My first inclination is to think that this is a waste of my time. I am not sure I want to invest any more time in a man who has already betrayed me once. Would it be worth it to try counseling?”
